A warm welcome back to another blogpost! Today, we'll be touching on:

But you might think, what do you mean by that?

A gif is a simple animation? A gif instead of an animation tutorial?

Read on, you'll see the simple steps to create a magical animation- which can be used as a gif as well!~

First step is to create and download your character, and here's the link to the video tutorial :)

The next thing is to open up any video editing software. This can range from Windows Movie Maker to Final Cut Pro. Whichever application you fancy should work. I'll dive into using Sony Vegas in the later posts.

Now, we have to import the character's individual sequences. Choose your desired facial expression.

Here I'm using 'despair' as it has 2 motions (for better explanation). As for the stance, I'll be using alert.

Then you will want to center it, by clicking on Fit. You may insert a background here if you wish.

Keep in mind this is very basic editing that anyone should be able to accomplish on any editing software, so this would not be too complicated.

Moving on, I'll see which sequence fits as he moves. If you have only one sequence for the specific face, you can skip to cutting the clips and exporting the video.

To merge in both sequences- I do this by eye, looking at what fits and what does not.

Once you're done with that, you can cut the clips to a shorter time frame. This is to make sure it moves in time, and to make it look less robot like and give a more natural look to it, you can cut the clips at alternating time frames you wish. Eg. 0.5s, 0.3s, 0.6s....etc.

Now, export the video, and insert this into a gif converter online, and you'll get something similar to this.

That's it! I hope this blogpost isn't too confusing..it's a little vague as it's hard to explain via blogposts as to how to edit.

Here's the video tutorial if you need more clarity~
